
Wall There’s a world to be glimpsed through the gaps in this wall, a field, gorse, a distant hill, a slight sea, a rocky shore, and there, above it all, a sky-full of blue and cloud. Here is a boundary, but only in name, it is temporary. All walls fall, in the end. A north wind passes through, gathers me, carries my breath, from this field, to the next. Derek Ross

Jings! I wouldn’t go that far! The dry stone walls in Galloway were constructed with holes in them as sheep were less likely to try and jump them if they could see through. Or so I’ve been told 😱
