Managed a wee trip to The Devil’s Beef Tub ( nr Moffat, Dumfries and Galloway) the day before the second lockdown in Scotland. Trust the Scottish Landscape to not disappoint, even in these dark days.
Pre Lockdown Snow

I am a photographer/ poet from Dumfries in South West Scotland. I concentrate on minimalist images and prefer using an iPhone these days. As far as my writing is concerned, I usually write short poems (some in Scots dialect), hence my interest in haiku and related forms.

Like the fill gate one ( ratio of 1/3) which makes the composition. Just like the simplicity.

My favourite too. Working on them in pure black and white and think the fence and gate pics look better. Hope your well on the mend.

Wow! Looks fabulous but I’m glad I came up to Edinburgh via Biggar!

It was nice to see. Went there before lockdown kicked in. Good choice going up via Biggar, beef tub can be a bit dodgy at the best of times!

Yes, Lynn Otty totalled her car there – before the snow, when it was very wet. She’s fine but the car was a write off.

You’re welcome, Derrick. I’ve been following the news stories of the new Covid variant in the UK. Very, very scary. I hope your lockdown can get it under control.
