Galloway Road
The road is a river,
flowing into a Galloway
I’ve never seen before.
I cannot know
what is around the bend,
but I’ll float along.
Sometimes, it’s not knowing
that’s worthwhile, that
adventure, that uneasiness.
What will I find?
the sea?, a roads end?
Is that waves I hear,
or trees whispering
in a water coloured wind.

Great write Derek. Wow, what closing lines! – ‘trees whispering
in a water coloured wind.’ Love the painting.

Thanks so much Goff, tbh I wasn’t sure of the last line but it grew on me 👍

Thanks Liz. I’ve been a bit quiet on the poetry front recently, been pains lot tho. Nice to put them both together.
